OUR HISTORY

“How can you leave the world a better place than you found it?” It’s a question we at WorldVentures Foundation™ ask ourselves every day. From our beginnings as the Manifest Foundation in 2010 to the present day, we have served children globally by teaming with like-minded organizations to identify needs and to implement sustainable solutions. That mission has endured through the evolution of our organization and seismic shifts in the geopolitical climate of our world. Today we touch the lives of children across close to 40 countries and counting. But we could do nothing without our supporters. Volunteers and donors breathe life into our vision and, for that, we are deeply grateful.

MEET THE TEAM

By definition, a team is a group of people with complementary skills working toward a common goal. But at WorldVentures Foundation, it’s so much more than that. We don’t just share vision; we share values and passion for helping children around the globe. Together with our dedicated volunteers and service allies, we give back and make a difference in the world.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
After spending more than 12 years in the nonprofit sector, including my time as chief program officer for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, joining the WorldVentures Foundation team in 2013 was a dream come true. I am honored to engage and attract volunteers and donations for our global service work for children. Working with amazing, enthusiastic volunteers to serve the world’s children is nothing short of magical. With donations more than tripling since 2013, the foundation looks forward to opening our collective heart to serve more children who need us.

Community Director – APAC
Asia-Pacific (APAC) is a vibrant region with a profound need for philanthropic support and volunteer service. Having helped to establish the Essilor Vision Foundation in Southeast Asia, a nonprofit aimed at providing  vision care for marginalized communities, I am grateful I can extend my experience and expertise to helping less-fortunate children through WorldVentures Foundation. As a mother, I feel deeply and passionately on a personal level when it comes to giving back to this underserved population. I firmly believe in the collective social infrastructure that we can create when there is a cause as strong as #hearttoserve.

SENIOR FUNDRAISING MANAGER
After a career in the for-profit business of sales for almost a decade, I wanted something more — something with a purpose and a mission. So, I took the plunge and entered the nonprofit industry. For the last several years, I have been fortunate enough to see positive change in the world, and to be a part of that change. I started my nonprofit career in a female youth leadership organization, and I am now privileged to be a part of WorldVentures Foundation! As the senior fundraising manager, I bring my Heart to Serve and passion for strategy and creativity to the table to produce initiatives that support our global and local efforts to create positive change for children around the world.

Marketing and Logistics Manager
Community service has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I spent my summers volunteering with Meals on Wheels with my brothers and manning the Salvation Army Angel Tree during the holidays. In college, I was involved with my sorority’s philanthropic efforts, and today I volunteer within my community as a member of the Junior League of Dallas. With that said, being a part of the foundation is a dream come true. From working on our Dream Courts initiative to coordinating foundation presence at events, I am fortunate to have a role that allows me to combine my two passions — marketing and helping others.

Community Manager – APAC
After more than a decade working in the business world for both large and small companies, I finally landed my dream job when I joined the WorldVentures Foundation team. Just knowing that all aspects of my work will positively impact the lives of children in need is a great blessing. I am in awe every single day — brightened by the big, wide smiles of the children we serve. As community manager, this is the driving force behind my main role of planning, executing and ensuring the success of VolunTours and Volunteer Days in the APAC region.

Global Volunteer Specialist
After many years serving children in my local communities and working closely with various nonprofits, my passion for giving back found new expression when I joined the foundation. In my current role, I work with our service allies and volunteers to develop, coordinate and oversee Volunteer Days all over the world. Most importantly, I make sure these events are all focused on serving children, by helping to create engagement strategies in local communities. I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that is making the world a better place, thanks to the impact of our incredible volunteers and the beautiful children served.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
As executive assistant for the foundation, I work with and directly support Executive Director Gwyneth Lloyd while assisting the entire team with daily operations, global travel, event and Volunteer Day logistics, fundraising efforts, and accounting and finance management. Working with the foundation has been an answer to my prayers, as I have finally found a career with a purpose that allows me to focus my energy on doing what I love most – impacting the lives of children in worthwhile ways. I feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that, at the end of the day, I’ve made a difference in a child’s life alongside an extraordinarily passionate, talented and noble team — an unquestionable blessing!
